Your Healing Journey

January - December 2026

Accessing support doesn’t have to mean weekly counselling or expensive programs just to understand why you feel stuck. We recognize how hard it can be to navigate the mental health system, especially when financial strain is part of the picture.

  • Why you’re burnt out.

  • Why you’re reactive or completely shut down.

  • Why nothing seems to change, even after doing “all the work.”

  • Why life feels heavy, even if your childhood looked fine on paper (or not).

Support and well-being shouldn’t be a luxury for the privileged few. This 12-month, closed-container membership offers an accessible, trauma-informed alternative to traditional 1:1 services. It includes psychoeducational workshops, peer support, community connection, and guest teachers, all designed to support real understanding and sustainable change.

Are you...?

  • Tired of those repeat patterns? I know you know what I’m talking about.

  • No idea where to start?

  • Struggling to trust anyone, or yourself?

  • Feeling lost in a broken mental health system?

  • Angry? Sad? Physically exhausted? Not sleeping? Reactive? Just… done with yourself?

  • Feeling like no one really understands?

  • Struggling financially, unable to afford individual sessions that can climb past $150?

  • Whether you’re navigating your own healing or supporting others for a living, carrying it all alone eventually takes a toll.

You're not alone.

Normalization is a survival response. We normalize stress, exhaustion, reactivity, and avoidance. We normalize how we’re treated and spoken to. Slowly, often quietly, we adapt to our environment and slip into survival mode without realizing exactly when something changed.

Or maybe you do. Maybe you know the exact moment your life shifted. That’s the thing about trauma. Sometimes it’s loud and life-altering. Sometimes it’s subtle and stealthy, slowly draining joy until you’re not really living, just existing.

Can we agree that we deserve to know ourselves a little better? That understanding our nervous systems, stress responses, and emotional injuries benefits not just us, but our relationships, our work, and our lives as a whole?
That this kind of education isn’t only for professionals?

Healing is subjective. There’s no quick fix, no magical modality that makes everything right again. Our bodies don’t forget. They remember. Deeply. But there is magic in discovery. In the moments of insight that shift perspective.

In connection and in learning to meet yourself with understanding instead of judgment. There is magic in us, and in what becomes possible when we finally understand what we’ve been carrying.

"Having a full year focused on trauma education and post-traumatic growth created a sense of safety and consistency that I didn’t realize I was missing. "

Here's what past participants have said about the Membership!

"Growing up, I heard people say, “we should really teach about mental health in schools.” The problem is, we think we do. In psychology class, we learn Freudian and Jungian “theories” about why people may be acting or feeling the way they do. While it remains important as the underbelly for theoretical frameworks, rarely does psychology class take trauma into account. It lacks the modern, and applicable understanding of how those wounds shape our lives.

The ”Mind Your Heart Academy” offers what people are getting at when they call for mental health education. This program isn’t your typical theory-based psychology education. It validates those human experiences we have been taught to overlook and dismiss as “not that bad”. It gives language to the feelings many of us have carried for decades, believing there was something inherently wrong with us. It teaches what trauma truly is, how it shapes us, and how to meet both ourselves and others with the endangered act of compassion.

This last year I learned how to name my experiences, make a list of regulation tools, share vulnerably within safety, how to provide trauma informed care to my clients, reduce harm, and how to hold my own self and celebrate my ability to adapt and survive the trauma that shaped me. Personally, this program provided such beautiful support while I navigated a difficult year. It taught me that I was not beyond repair.

The program is for everyone. Whether you are a hairdresser listening to clients in your chair, a teacher working with adolescents, an alternative practitioner, or a human being wanting a community while you learn to understand yourself and the world, this program is it."

Mariah Matthews

"I took the program because I wanted to know more about how to move through my own traumas. I have done a lot of my own work around it already and yet some things kept coming up. The biggest learning for me was normalizing all the many symptoms of trauma. Some things that I thought were my quirks were actually the results of stacks of emotional injuries. I was able to embrace myself and heal more deeply after identifying them. It's still a process but I have more tools to hold space for myself. And the community was lovely."

Kasia Raschfall

"This membership has been so powerful and supportive for me and has helped me support my clients so much more effectively!! I just adore your work Lea Morrison!!

Meaghan Alton

"This membership has been a really meaningful part of my healing journey. Having a full year focused on trauma education and post-traumatic growth created a sense of safety and consistency that I didn’t realize I was missing. The monthly workshops with Lea Morrison are compassionate, grounding, and easy to understand. Lea explains trauma in a way that feels human and supportive, not clinical, and I’ve taken away tools I genuinely use in daily life.

As a counsellor, this program has also deeply impacted my professional work. I feel more confident, regulated, and empowered to show up as a truly trauma-informed practitioner. The peer connection calls and private community have helped me feel less alone both personally and professionally, and the resource library — especially the body breaks and meditations — is something I return to often.

For the value, the cost feels more than fair. I’m genuinely grateful I joined and would recommend this space to anyone seeking trauma-informed healing and growth."

Hi, I'm Lea Morrison

Founder & Program Creator of Mind Your Heart Academy, Counsellor, Trauma Educator & Coach

Eighteen years ago, my own experience with trauma led me to question much of what I was being told about healing. I was encouraged to cope, not understand myself. Deep down, I knew there had to be another way.

That search became the foundation of Mind Your Heart Academy.

This membership exists because understanding ourselves changes how we live, and how we care for others. When individuals learn how their nervous systems work, and when professionals are supported to practice with more awareness and humanity, something meaningful shifts. Families, clients, and communities feel the difference.

This work changed my life. I hope it offers you clarity, compassion, and a deeper sense of trust in yourself, and in what’s possible for the mental health field as a whole.

With care,
Lea Morrison
Founder, Mind Your Heart Academy

MEET THE FACILITATOR

Angie Szerepi

Trauma-Informed Wellness Practitioner, Teacher & Coach

With over 30 years of experience guiding individuals through healing, self-discovery, and meaningful change, I specialize in helping people understand how trauma, stress, and overwhelm live in the nervous system. Holding a Bachelors Degree in Sociology with a minor in Psychology, my work weaves science, education, and intuitive awareness, as I am also trained in Holistic Counselling, Life Coaching, and Reiki Master/Teacher.

At the heart of my practice is the art of holding safe, grounded, and compassionate space—where the body can soften, insight can emerge, and healing unfolds at its own pace. Through trauma-informed coaching, holistic counselling, and energy work, I support individuals and groups in gently releasing stored stress and reconnecting with their inner strength, clarity, and wholeness. I believe healing ripples outward: as we regulate our nervous systems and reclaim our sense of self, we naturally influence our families, communities, and the collective—contributing to a more conscious, compassionate world.

If you're an individual or professional who wants to understand what's been driving your responses and patterns through trauma-informed education, let's explore the nervous system, stress responses, and emotional injuries to foster clarity, regulation, confidence building, and sustainable change without pretending that healing is tidy or linear in this 12-month membership.

IMPORTANT

This membership is designed as a supportive, education-based space for individuals who are actively engaging in their healing journey, ideally alongside a licensed therapist or other qualified mental health support. It offers trauma-informed psychoeducation, practical resources, and community connection to help participants build understanding, insight, and capacity over time.

It is difficult to learn about trauma without triggering or activating old wounds, therefore self-care and awareness is strongly encouraged before committing to this program. This program is not a substitute for therapy, medical care, or crisis intervention. If you are currently experiencing acute distress, intense emotional overwhelm, active safety concerns, or are in need of immediate support, this membership may not be the right fit at this moment. In those cases, we strongly encourage connecting with a mental health professional or local crisis support service who can provide direct care.

Your safety and well-being matter. Healing looks different at different stages, and having the right kind of support for where you are is essential. When you feel ready for a structured, education-focused approach that supports self-understanding and nervous system awareness, you are warmly welcome here.

Still unsure? You’re invited to book a discovery call with Lea to explore whether this space is the right fit for you.
