ABOUT

Mind Your Heart Academy was created in response to a very real gap that many people quietly experience.

So many individuals are doing their best to manage stress, overwhelm, and the lasting impact of difficult experiences, yet still feel unseen or unsupported by systems that were meant to help. At the same time, many professionals care deeply about the people they work with but feel limited by time, training models, scope, or resources that do not fully reflect how real nervous systems actually function.

Mind Your Heart Academy exists to offer something in between. A space that bridges education and support. Theory and lived experience. Care that is well intentioned and care that is actually accessible.

This is a place for learning, reflection, and trauma informed support that honours both mind and body, without pressure to perform healing or fit into a single model of care.

Support for Individuals

For individuals, Mind Your Heart Academy offers trauma-informed education and support designed to help make sense of stress responses, emotional patterns, and nervous system experiences in a way that feels grounded and compassionate.

Many people arrive here after trying therapy, self help, or personal growth work, only to find that it felt too expensive, too clinical, too fast, or simply not right for where they were. Others are not looking to process the past at all. They are looking for understanding. Language that explains why things feel the way they do. Tools that support regulation and steadiness without requiring emotional excavation.

Support for individuals may include educational programs, guided learning, nervous system aware tools for grounding and regulation, spaces for reflection without pressure to disclose personal experiences, and optional one to one sessions for those who want more individualized support.

This path recognizes that growth and healing are not linear and that meaningful support looks different for different people at different times. There is no single right pace here. No expectation to arrive anywhere in particular. Just support that meets you where you are.

Education and Guidance for Professionals

This education is designed for professionals, helpers, and practitioners who want trauma informed learning that supports ethical practice without overstepping scope. It speaks to something many people in caring roles feel but rarely have space to name.

Much professional training focuses on theory, diagnosis, or technique, while leaving less room for nervous system safety, relational impact, practitioner self awareness, and the real complexity of working with trauma in everyday settings. Continuing education can also be expensive, hard to access, or disconnected from the realities professionals are navigating in their work.

The professional offerings within the Academy are grounded in nervous system awareness and trauma informed principles that can be applied thoughtfully and ethically across roles. Learning here supports reflective practice, attention to power and pacing, and approaches that feel realistic, humane, and sustainable over time.

This stream is educational in nature. It is not therapy or clinical supervision. It is a space for professionals to deepen understanding, strengthen capacity, and feel more supported and less alone in the work they do.

An Approach that's Not One Size Fits All

At its heart, Mind Your Heart Academy is built on the belief that support and education should not be one size fits all, and should not only be available to those with financial privilege.

Learning across all offerings is designed to be paced, respectful of nervous system capacity, and accessible without requiring disclosure or re traumatization. Support is offered in different formats and price points so people can engage in ways that feel realistic for their lives.

By offering both community based learning and optional individualized support, the Academy creates room for choice. You get to decide what level of support feels right for you, and when.

Who This Space is For

Mind Your Heart Academy is for individuals and professionals who feel underserved by traditional or one size fits all approaches. It is for those who value nervous system awareness, trauma informed care, and education that feels humane and grounded.

Whether you are here to better understand yourself, to support others more ethically, or to find a middle ground between systems that have not quite fit, this is a space designed to meet you with care and respect.

About the Founder

Mind Your Heart Academy was founded by Lea Morrison, a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor, trauma educator, and the Academy’s Founder and Program Director.

Lea brings together clinical training, trauma informed education, and lived understanding to create learning spaces that prioritize safety, dignity, and ethical care. She oversees the curriculum, structure, and integrity of all programs within the Academy.

While many offerings, including the membership, are facilitated by trained trauma informed facilitators, Lea remains closely involved in program development and alignment. She also offers private one to one sessions for individuals seeking individualized trauma informed support alongside educational learning.

A Final Note

There is nothing wrong with needing support that looks different than what is typically offered.

Mind Your Heart Academy is rooted in the belief that understanding and capacity grow best in environments where people feel safe enough to learn, question, and move at a human pace.

You are not behind.
You are not broken.
And you do not have to figure this out alone.
